Sweet Tea's Restaurant

Love watching this show!
This show is super fun to watch! I love the tough but tender way Robert helps people turn their lives around. The design team comes up with some creative ways to redesign the restaurants on a limited budget. The transformations are amazing! And the final opening of the new restaurant always brings me to tears. Good escapist entertainment!

Robert Irvinei is the BEST!!
I love watching and listening to Robert - he is intelligent, careful, caring and altogether amazing. His comments to the restaurant owners are priceless - and they have helped me in my own business as well. It is just an enjoyable show all around. Keep it up!

trying too hard for drama
They are trying too hard to be like Kitchen Nightmares. He used to be much more patient and understanding with the people now he goes out of his way to insult them and try to make them defensive. As soon as he's off camera and the owner says something negative the producers seem to feed it to his earpiece so he can come back in with a big "what did you say?".

Granted most of these people shouldn't have opened a business and often don't 'deserve' having theirs saved but there is enough interesting going on without spitting food out and huge fake laughs when they say they think their food is good.

This show does explain why so often the food in the little local places is bad. Too often they aren't into food they just thought opening a restaurant would be easy. Which is sad for the people that really love food and love people and have places that still struggle. It also shows why chains tend to do so much better, consistency, they have tested and proven...
