It Has Begun

The most underrated and under watched family comedy of the season!
We were skeptical when we first heard about this show, and while it proved to be every bit as cornball as we thought, it did so in such a great way. Some jokes were adult enough and absurd enough to keep the parents entertained, while the kids could enjoy it just as much. The evolving relationships between the humans and aliens are heartfelt, poignant, and usually hilarious. By about the third episode, The Neighbors had become our most looked-forward-to program of the week. [Mostly] wholesome, and always funny.

The only problem with this show is how few people I can find who actually know about and watch it! Last I heard it (barely) got renewed for another season, and I hope it finds enough audience to stick around for several more years. Similar kind of feel and audience as another great, short-lived comedy, "Better Off Ted".

I strongly suggest you give this show a try!

The Neighbors...much better show than you think!
I was reticent to watch ABC's "The Neighbors" after seeing a few commercials and reading the horrible reviews it received, but, like many shows, the critics just don't understand comedy. The cast is excellent, especially Toks Olagundoye as alien wife, Jackie Joyner-Kersee.

Witty and clever!
This show is incredible for not only the fantastic wit, but also for the stunning visual details. I LOVE how all of the aliens wear variations of the same color! The aliens simple misunderstandings ("kids" meals, "Finger" foods, etc) lead to the most humerous of situations but there's always that "I wish I were part of this town/family" feel throughout the show.
